Why 102 Aspects Need a Question
An AI synastry reading answers one specific question about two people by selecting the cross-chart aspects, house overlays and current transits that bear on that question, then explaining them in plain language. A synastry report describes every aspect; an AI synastry reading describes the few that matter to what you asked.
The aspect overload problem
Put two birth charts side by side and the planets form a lot of angles with each other. We measured it: across 300 random couples, the median pair of charts shares 102 cross-chart aspects. The fewest we saw was 78 and the most was 126.
About 47 of those sit within 3° of exact, and about 16 within 1° — the contacts people tend to actually feel. A traditional report walks through all of them in order, so the one that explains your argument on Sunday night is buried somewhere between Neptune sextile Jupiter and a trine you will never notice.
A question works as a filter
An AI synastry reading turns that list around. Instead of starting from the chart and hoping the relevant part shows up, it starts from what you want to understand and keeps only the contacts that speak to it — usually three aspects, plus one house overlay and one composite contact.
The common ones are common for a reason. In the same sample, 55% of couples had at least one Venus–Mars contact and 58.7% had a Moon–Saturn contact. Having one is not unusual; which one it is, how exact it is and whose planet is whose is what makes an AI synastry reading yours.
What gets left out — and why that is fine
Nothing wider than 5° is used as evidence, and contacts wider than 3° are only admitted when fewer than three tighter ones exist. Couples of a similar age share the same Uranus, Neptune and Pluto signs, so contacts to those generational planets are weighted down.
Leaving something out is not hiding it. Every aspect is still in the free synastry chart calculator; an AI synastry reading simply refuses to pad an answer with contacts that have nothing to do with the question.
How an AI Synastry Reading Answers Your Question
Every AI synastry reading on this page follows the same four steps. The first three are plain calculation and happen before any AI is involved; the fourth is the only part a language model writes, and it is checked against the first three.
Your question is sorted into a theme
The question is matched against six themes — conflict, communication, security, intimacy, commitment and timing — by the words it uses. “Why do we argue about money?” is a conflict question even though it mentions money. If you tap a chip instead of typing, the chip sets the theme.
Only the relevant factors are pulled
Each theme has its own table of planet pairs, houses and composite points. The AI synastry reading scores every aspect between your charts against that table, multiplies by how exact it is, and keeps the strongest.
Conflict
Mainly Mars against the other person’s Mars, Moon, Sun, Saturn, Pluto and Mercury; Saturn to the Moon and Sun; Mars, Saturn or Pluto falling in the other person’s 1st, 4th, 7th or 8th house.
Communication
Mainly Mercury to Mercury, Moon, Sun, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus and Neptune; Mercury, Moon or Sun in the other person’s 3rd, 7th, 9th or 11th house; the composite Mercury.
Security
Mainly Moon to Moon, Sun, Saturn, Venus, Pluto and the Ascendant; Venus to Saturn; the Moon, Saturn or Venus in the other person’s 4th, 8th, 12th or 2nd house.
Intimacy
Mainly Venus to Mars, Pluto, Venus and the Moon; Mars to Pluto and the Ascendant; the Moon to Pluto; Venus, Mars or Pluto in the other person’s 5th, 8th or 1st house.
Commitment
Mainly Saturn to Venus, the Moon, the Sun and the Ascendant; the North Node to the Sun, Moon and Venus; Jupiter to Venus and the Sun; Saturn in the other person’s 7th, 10th or 4th house.
Timing
The couple’s tightest personal-planet contacts as anchors, then every slow transit and shared window in the next twelve months.
The answer is written, then checked against the charts
Only now does the AI write. It receives the selected contacts and dates — nothing else — and returns an answer with a note for each contact. Before you see your AI synastry reading, the answer is checked: every planet pair it names must be one of the supplied contacts, and every date must come from the supplied list.
A sentence that invents an aspect, predicts an outcome or uses verdict language is sent back to be rewritten. If the AI cannot produce a clean answer, the page assembles one directly from your charts instead and does not count the question.
Evidence and dates are attached
The contacts behind each AI synastry reading appear under it as evidence cards, followed by the dates when slow planets activate the same points. That is the difference between an AI synastry reading and a chat window: you can see what the answer rests on.
How to Read the Evidence Under Every Answer
The evidence cards are the part of an AI synastry reading worth slowing down for. Each one is a single, checkable fact about your two charts.
Orb: how exact a contact is
The orb is the distance from a perfect angle. At 0°19′, a square is almost exact and tends to be felt constantly; at 4° it is a background note. The five small squares on each card fill up as the orb shrinks — five means within 1°.
Whose planet, whose house — direction matters
“Your Saturn square their Mars” is not the same contact as “their Saturn square your Mars”. The person whose Saturn it is tends to be the one who brakes; the person whose Mars it is tends to be the one who feels braked. The cards always say whose planet is whose.
House overlays work the same way. Your Moon in their 4th house describes what you stir in their sense of home, which is not what their Moon in your 4th would describe.
Why the same aspect feels different to each of you
Because of that direction, one contact can be comfortable for one person and grating for the other. An AI synastry reading addresses you as the one asking, so the answer describes the contact from your side first and names what it tends to be like for them.
Harmonious and challenging are not good and bad
Trines and sextiles flow; squares and oppositions create friction. Friction is also where couples do their work, and easy contacts can be easy to take for granted. Read the label as a description of texture, not a grade. For the contacts that matter most, the card links to a full page — for example Venus conjunct Mars in synastry — and the synastry aspect guide lists the rest.
Timing: The Months You Are Both Under the Same Sky
Birth charts do not change, but the sky moving over them does. That is why the same question can get a different answer in March than in September, and why every AI synastry reading ends with dates.
What a shared transit window is
A shared window is a month in which one slow planet reaches an exact contact with both of your charts. We measured it across 40 random couples: the median couple has 5 shared windows in the next twelve months, and every couple in the sample had at least one.
Those months tend to be when a theme is live for both of you at once — which makes them good months to talk about it, rather than months when one of you is in it and the other is not.
Why the same question gets a different answer in March
If Saturn is crossing your Moon in June, a question about feeling secure will be answered with that in view. Ask again in the autumn and the transit has passed, so your AI synastry reading leans on your natal contacts instead. The chart snapshot is saved with each reading, so an old answer still shows the sky it was written for.
How the dates are calculated
Only slow movers are used — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron and the North Node — against the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and the angles of each chart. The next twelve months are sampled every three days, and a contact counts once it comes within 2°. Synastry, Composite or Davison: Which Chart Answers What
Three different charts describe a relationship, and each is good at a different kind of question. An AI synastry reading leans mostly on the first and borrows from the second.
Synastry: how you affect each other
Synastry compares the two birth charts directly. It is the right chart for “why does their mood change mine so fast?” — questions about what happens between two people.
Composite: what the relationship wants
The composite chart is built from the midpoints of both charts, so it describes the relationship as a third thing. One composite contact is added to an AI synastry reading when the theme touches it — for example, a composite Sun–Saturn trine in a question about commitment.
Davison: the relationship’s own moment
The Davison relationship chart is cast for the midpoint in time and place between two births. It suits “what is this bond here to do?” more than day-to-day questions, so it is a calculator of its own rather than part of every AI synastry reading.
How to Ask Questions That Get Useful Answers
The quality of an AI synastry reading depends on the question more than anything else. The charts describe patterns between two people, so questions about patterns get the best answers.
Ask about patterns, not verdicts
“Will we break up?” asks the charts to see the future, which they cannot. “What keeps putting strain on us?” asks them to describe something they can. The page rewrites verdict questions like this automatically and shows you the question it answered.

“Why do we argue?” works. “Why do we argue every time we plan a trip?” works better, because it tells the AI synastry reading which part of the pattern you are living in. You have up to 300 characters.

What an AI Synastry Reading Won’t Tell You
Knowing what an AI synastry reading refuses to do is part of knowing how far to trust it. These limits are enforced in the code, not just stated here.
No predictions of breakups, marriage or cheating
An AI synastry reading will not tell you whether you will stay together, get married or whether someone is being unfaithful. Answers that slip into that language are rejected before they reach you.
No verdict on whether to stay
Two charts can show what a relationship asks of both people. Whether that is worth it is your decision, and an AI synastry reading is written to inform it, not to make it.
When to talk to a person instead
If a question mentions being hurt, threatened or controlled, or thoughts of self-harm, no chart is read at all. The page shows where to find help instead, the question is not counted, and nothing is stored.

An AI synastry reading needs two people’s birth details, and one of them usually is not the person typing.
What is stored, and who can see it

›Is this AI synastry reading free?
Your first question is free without an account. A free account gets 3 questions a week, plus one follow-up on each, and the count resets every Monday. No card is needed for either. If the AI answer fails and the page has to assemble one from your charts directly, that question is not counted.
›Do we both need exact birth times?
No. The aspects between your planets only need birth dates, so an AI synastry reading still works without times. House overlays, the Ascendant and the Midheaven do need a time, and the answer leaves them out for whichever of you does not have one — the page tells you when that happened.
›How is this different from a synastry report?
A report describes every contact between two charts, which for a typical couple is about a hundred. An AI synastry reading starts from your question and keeps only the three to five contacts that bear on it, then adds the dates when they are most active. ›How accurate are the chart calculations?

Yes. An AI synastry reading works for any two people — a friend, a parent, a colleague, an ex or a crush. The only thing to keep in mind is that their birth details are theirs; enter them if you would be comfortable telling them you did.
