Information We Collect
When you use SynastryChart, we may collect the following types of information:
- Birth Information: Date, time, and location of birth for astrological calculations
- Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interaction data
- Cookies & Local Storage: Session data, preferences, and authentication tokens
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for:
- Generating accurate synastry charts and astrocartography maps
- Improving our services and user experience
- Analyzing usage patterns to enhance functionality
- Complying with legal obligations and protecting our rights
IMPORTANT: We do NOT sell, share, or distribute your personal birth information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Other People's Birth Data
Relationship tools ask for a second person's birth date, time and place. Only enter someone else's details if you believe they would be comfortable with it. We use them only to calculate the chart and readings you asked for, never contact that person and never use their data for advertising. Guest results are deleted after 30 days; charts you save stay in your account until you delete them.
Data Storage & Security
We take data security seriously:
- Guest Results: If you are not signed in, a synastry result is kept as a temporary share link and deleted automatically after 30 days
- Encryption: All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
- Service Providers: Hosting, database, payments, email and AI processing run on the providers listed below, each under its own data protection terms
- Saved Charts: Charts you save stay in your account until you delete them or close your account
Third-Party Services
SynastryChart integrates with the following third-party services:
Stripe (payments)
Processes subscriptions and one-time purchases. We never see or store your card details. Stripe Privacy Policy
Replicate and OpenAI (AI reports)
When you ask for an AI report or reading, the chart details it needs — planet positions, aspects and the first name you entered — are sent to Replicate, which runs OpenAI models, to write the text. Replicate Privacy Policy
Google Gemini API (soulmate drawings)
Generates the soulmate sketch from the answers you chose in the quiz. Google Privacy Policy
Resend (email)
Sends account emails, the reports you request and the newsletters you signed up for. Resend Privacy Policy
CARTO and OpenStreetMap (map tiles)
The astrocartography map loads its background tiles from CARTO, built on OpenStreetMap data. Your browser requests the tiles directly; no birth data is sent. CARTO Privacy Policy
Vercel (Hosting & Analytics)
Our hosting provider. Vercel collects basic analytics and performance data. Vercel Privacy Policy

You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate data

- Guest Users: Results are kept as temporary share links for 30 days, then deleted automatically
- Registered Users: Birth data is retained until account deletion or chart removal
- Analytics Data: Aggregated usage data is retained for up to 24 months
International Users
SynastryChart is accessible worldwide. By using our service, you consent to data transfer and processing in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
