Outer-Planet Conjunction Calendar

Every conjunction between two outer planets (Jupiter → Pluto) in a chosen year. These are the chapter-defining mundane events that shape collective history.

Why Outer-Planet Conjunctions Matter

When two slow-moving outer planets come within a few degrees of each other in the sky, history tends to notice. The Jupiter-Saturn "Great Conjunction" of December 2020 — Jupiter and Saturn within 0.1° in Aquarius — marked the start of a new 20-year political and economic era. The Uranus-Pluto squares of 2012–2015 (the same two planets, near the same point in their cycle) coincided with a wave of global unrest and structural reform.

Outer-planet conjunctions are mundane events — they affect the collective rather than one person's chart. But because they're so rare (Uranus-Neptune happens roughly every 171 years; Neptune-Pluto every 492) each one stamps a generation.

How to Read a Conjunction

  1. The two planets combine. Jupiter-Saturn = expansion meets structure. Saturn-Pluto = control meets transformation. Uranus-Pluto = sudden change meets deep rewrite. The combination defines the theme.
  2. The sign sets the arena. The Jupiter-Saturn 2020 conjunction in Aquarius launched a 20-year cycle of technology, networks and collective futures (Aquarian themes). A Capricorn conjunction would have been about institutions and structure.
  3. Watch how it touches your natal chart. If the conjunction degree lands on (or aspects) one of your natal planets within 3°, the mundane event becomes personal. Use the full Transit Chart Calculator to check this.
